As we approach the Watercraft World Twin Cities River Run ride down the Mississippi River, interest from both consumers and sponsors is increasing.
Presented by Polaris, the event will take place on July 19 and offer a scenic 60-mile tour of the upper Mississippi River in the form of a leisurely-paced Poker Run. While participants can win fabulous prizes, including an all-expenses-paid trip to Watercraft World's Dream Demo, this is a non-competitive recreational event. Participants will also receive a gift bag and have the opportunity to demo ride the latest watercraft from Polaris, Honda, Kawasaki, Sea-Doo, and Yamaha. Additionally, they can appear in both Watercraft World magazine and on the "Minnesota Bound" TV show. All that's required is a personal watercraft and the desire to win some excellent prizes. The ride will launch from Hidden Falls Regional Park in St. Paul, Minn., in conjunction with the Minneapolis Aquatennial. Participants will travel just over 30 miles downstream on the Mississippi River and back, making stops at five checkpoints where they can draw one playing card at each. This is not a race, and participants can take their own time during the ride. Demo rides on the newest personal watercraft will be available at the launch site, and prizes will be awarded that afternoon. Our magazine has ridden this route multiple times, including two weeks ago and a forthcoming scouting trip on June 19th to finalize the details. Bobby Boop
