The Scarab 195 Open is a versatile sport utility Jetboat that is perfect for family weekend adventures on the water. It boasts a center console steering station and water-jet propulsion, making it suitable for activities such as wakeboarding, diving, fishing, water-skiing, tubing, and simply having fun with your family. At a dry weight of only 2,600 pounds, it can be easily towed behind smaller vehicles. The Jet boat also has an enclosed head, making it even more family-friendly.
Scarab Jet Boats acquired the tooling for the former Sea-Doo 18-foot-10-inch bowrider hull, but redesigned the interior from scratch, resulting in a fold-down tailgate that is perfect for a buttoned-up transom and a water-level boarding platform for swimmers and wakeboarders. The enclosed head is another excellent feature that is hidden in the center console and provides more than enough space to change out of wet bathing suits. The Scarab 195 Open comes in two configurations: Open and Open Fish. The test boat was the Open, which features a watersports tower with a high tow point and Bimini top, flip-up seats by the helm that convert to walkways, and a sun pad aft. The standard power is a 250 hp three-cylinder supercharged and intercooled Rotax 4-Tec powertrain, which can reach 41 mph quickly and hit 30 mph in just seven seconds. The hull has twin channels that provide straight-line tracking and smooth turns. Overall, the Scarab 195 Open is an excellent choice for boaters who are looking for a versatile and family-friendly boat that is easy to tow and offers an enclosed head, fold-down tailgate, and smooth handling.
